On Sunday October 14, 2018 Cara D’Emanuele Studios presented Broadway’s Corey Cott lead two Singing Actor Master Classes at the Rochester Lyric Theatre 440 East Avenue, Rochester.

Each session (Session One: 11am–1:30pm; Session Two: 2–4:30pm) featured 16 singers ages 10 to adult performing musical theatre songs. Performers received inspiring critique from Corey, one of Broadway’s most celebrated talents. Observers also enjoyed the master class, learning from Corey’s encouraging engagement with each singer.

The master classes were followed at 7pm by the “Musical Theatre Showcase”, celebrating the art of Broadway and featuring Corey Cott and performers from throughout western and central New York state.

Performing ensembles included The Lyric Voices directed by Vince Salvadge performing a medley from “Finding Neverland,” students from Mel’s School of Music and Theater in Blasdell, NY, soloists Lauren Ronzo and Ben Reiner, a duet by Jason Keirsbilck and Tessa DeGrace from the studio of Katherine Thompson, students from the Bruce Music Academy, and dynamic ensembles of students performing excerpts from shows including “Matilda,” “The Little Mermaid,” and “Dear Evan Hansen.”
