Ready to have your socks blown off? The only thing that could do that better than an awesome Blues concert is, well, five awesome Blues concerts! And that is what is just around the corner, on Saturday, May 20th at the 1st Annual Lyric Theatre Blues Bash, 440 East Avenue, in the heart of the Neighborhood of the Arts, sponsored by Genesee Regional Bank.

The Blues Bash concept is simple:

  • Bring in great blues talent, and start them jamming at 4:30pm with a new concert starting every hour and a half as the night rolls along.

*Shows now start at 3:30 with a performance by Steve Grills*

  • Make it a huge party, and invite everyone to come.
  • Have a blast!

You can go to one, two, three, four, or all five events, hang out with old friends or make new ones. The best value is the “Bash Pass” ($50 pre-sale) which provides unlimited access to the Blues Bash from beginning to end. Walk-up, single concert tickets will be available on the day of the event for $20 per show.

There will be concessions, food trucks, and a full-day lineup up all-star blues artists featuring:

3:30 – 4:00pm – Rochester Native Steve Grills
4:30 – 5:30pm – Mississippi-born guitarist Joe Beard
6:00 – 7:00pm – Roots, Gospel and Soul-infused Alexis P. Suter Band
7:30 – 8:30pm – Internationally acclaimed blues guitarist, bandleader and producer Dave Specter
9:00pm – Tad Robinson, singer and harmonica player

Hosted at one of Rochester’s most unique live music venues, the Lyric Theatre has been described by Neil Sexton, founder of Trinidaddio Blues Fest (Colorado) as “absolutely fantastic… a perfect venue to host some of the best blues players anywhere. I have been around the blues business for decades now, and this new event, in this new venue, with this initial lineup of some of the best talent anywhere, is one of the most exciting developments I’ve seen in a long time. Let this not-to-be-missed annual event begin… in Rochester!”

Genesee Regional Bank is pleased to be the headline sponsor of Blues Bash ’17. President and CEO Philip Pecora says, “Our community has a rich musical history and we are proud to be bringing another signature event to the Rochester stage. With an outstanding lineup of award-winning artists and the Lyric Theatre as the venue, Blues Bash ’17 promises to be a fantastic opportunity for blues fans and music fans alike.”

Advance tickets will be available at all three area GRB locations, Wegmans That’s T.H.E. Ticket! locations, as well as online either at LyricTheatreRochester.org or directly at this link: http://grbbluesbash.bpt.me
